OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The University of the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center's mission is to promote a more efficient and effective small business sector by providing to the management of existing and emerging small businesses assistance to survive and expand their products and services, the resources to learn and improve 
management skills, the opportunity to gain a broader 
perspective of their markets and new technologies 
to access more timely information.

Since 1985, the Small Business Development Center has been providing small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in
the Virgin Islands the practical assistance they need to grow and prosper in today's economy. With offices in St. Croix and 
St. Thomas, the Center is an advocate for small businesses and delivers services in counseling, training, and technical assistance. 
It is part of a close network of public and private business organizations, the major goals of which are the economic stability and growth of small businesses in the Territory. Members of this network include the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Government Development Bank, the St. Croix Foundation for Community Development, Virgin Islands Capital Resources, Inc., and all local banks.
